Creom Assist CWC at Stamford Bridge |

Creom were recently brought in to help resolve a problem at Chelsea FC’s Stamford Bridge Stadium. Floorcoverings were lifting in the players changing rooms which were part of a £1m refurbishment during the summer of 2004.
Andy Baker of CWC Commercial Flooring had called in Creom when he suspected that moisture ingress was the cause of the problem.
Following on-site inspections by Creom UK, and further investigations by the contractor, the source of the moisture was traced to a burst pipe in the base slab beneath the dressing rooms. Due to the extent of the problem and the hectic schedule of Chelsea FC, it was decided that a temporary repair should be
effected until the floor could be properly repaired during the closed season. Damaged floorcoverings were lifted and the floor was cleaned back to a solid base. Creom Moisture Suppressant was then applied in a sandwich layer with Arditex latex and new floorcoverings were installed. To date Andy Baker of CWC has said the temporary repair is standing up well and, with the assistance of Creom technical support, major disruption of Chelsea FC’s facilities has been successfully averted.
It’s done the job!
